Sandhurst Community Brass
Sandhurst Silver has always grown its own learners and at most times in the band’s history there has been a junior band of some sort, where developing players can practise performing as an ensemble.
In 2006 the “Thursday nighters” group gained an independent existence within the band as the Sandhurst Community Brass.
It includes developing players young and old, and has fulfilled a number of engagements. With the main band heading for even giddier heights, the training band has now been renamed Sandhurst Community Brass, reflecting its expanded role as a more relaxed alternative for experienced players without the pressures of contesting.
Sandhurst Community Brass continues to develop its skills and repertoire, and welcomes new members of all ranges of ability.
